Knox-Metropolitan United Church, Edmonton Presbytery

Knox-Metropolitan United Church seeks a full-time minister (OM/DM) for our diverse and established congregation near the University of Alberta.

We are looking for a minister who will work with us in providing empathic care and nurture for individuals of all ages.  An ideal candidate will be gifted in leading worship and programs with spiritual depth and renewed vision to meet the evolving needs of our congregation and community.

We offer the friendly partnership of an educated, skilled and active laity with a strong commitment to our church and to service in the wider community.  We have an active church board and committees.  We engage in a rich variety of activities such as church school, choirs, men’s and women’s groups, drama club, and adult study programs.

We offer work-life balance and provide the support of a youth worker, office administrator, organist and choir director, and custodian.  Edmonton is a dynamic and progressive place to live with all the benefits and challenges of a large growing city.  Responsibilities will include: worship; Christian and spiritual development; pastoral care and counselling; committee work; administration and work with 4 other staff members; and other duties as needed.
