Two Hills Pastoral Charge
is a two point rural charge, which includes Two Hills and Myrnam and District,
located in north central
Ideally, they are willing to share a full-time
minister with a neighbouring pastoral charge (each on a half-time basis), but
as an alternative, are seeking a half-time person - OM/DM/DLM or Student
Supply.
Theirs is a Community Ministry, which
participates in community activities and events, and they are a visible
presence in the area.
Responsibilities include: worship, leadership,
preaching, education, pastoral care, presbytery
participation, relating to young people and children, lead Bible Study, and
work with church committees.
The minister should follow the lectionary
readings and use everyday examples to make the scriptures relative to peoples’
lives. He/She should be a good listener,
very comfortable working with the elderly, and sensitive to feelings and
thoughts of others.
