Edgerton - Paradise Valley Pastoral Charge

Position: Minister - OM/DM/DLM

Edgerton - Paradise Valley is a two point charge which is seeking a .75 FTE minister. They are open to Ordained, Diaconal or Designated Lay Minister applicants. Both churches are small, but have multigenerational attendance at weekly services.

The two rural communities are approximately 50 kms. apart connected by paved and maintained roads and located in east central Alberta. Paradise Valley is approximately 60 kms. southwest of Lloydminster and Edgerton is 35 kms. east of Wainwright (which has a Canadian Forces Base). Both communites are agriculturally based and the oil industry is a strong influence as well. Both points are community minded and volunteer oriented, and work well with everyone to make their communities wonderful places in which to live and work. Visibility and participation at community events is desirable based on personal time and resources of the minister, as a part of community outreach.

There is a manse with a garage available in Edgerton right next to the church (it is currently rented out, but will be available).

Responsibilities include: preaching, sacraments, weddings, funerals, leadership and direction of the church in conjunction with the Board, pastoral care, education, and wider work in the Church and communities. Both congregations are flexible, open to new initiatives, and supportive of the minister in these endeavours.
