PASTORAL STUDIES POSITION:

 

St. Andrew's College, Saskatoon, seeks a tenure-track Professor of Pastoral Studies, with a specialization in Christian Worship.

Teaching and research interest in at least one other area of pastoral studies (e.g., music, congregational life, Christian formation) would be an asset.

Applicants must possess an earned ThD/PhD (or equivalent degree) in pastoral studies completed or near completion, demonstrated experience and competence in congregational worship leadership, and knowledge and critical appreciation of the worship practices and ethos of The United Church of Canada.

The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced/elective courses in Christian public worship and other area(s) of pastoral studies as appropriate to training and interests, collaborate in the integrative teaching program of the college, and participate in ongoing academic research and the administrative life of the college and the Saskatoon Theological Union. Starting date may be January 1, 2009 or July 1, 2009.
