CANADA'S
HEALTH COVENANT CAMPAIGN
Through
its participation in the Ecumenical Health Care Network, The United Church of
Canada focused its health care advocacy efforts in 2003 on establishing a Health
Council, on halting an expansion of for-profit health care delivery, and on
supporting the Health Care Covenant for all people in Canada.
Now
in 2004 we are calling for a process of broad participation leading to the
adoption of a Health Care Covenant for All People in Canada. We
are calling upon the federal Minister of Health to immediately establish a
process of broad public participation leading to the adoption of a Health
Care Covenant.
